Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
The Art of Animation Resort at Walt Disney World is one of the newest resorts on property. It’s considered a Value Resort (read more about resort tiers here) though it is on the more expensive end of the Value options. Art of Animation has lots of themed family suite options which are great for bigger families looking for a budget friendly hotel option. There are numerous transportation options to the parks from this resort, including the Skyliner. Art of Animation also boasts the largest pool on Disney property!

Rooms
There are two types of rooms available at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort: Standard Rooms and Family Suites.
The Standard Rooms are all Little Mermaid themed and have either two double beds or one king bed, which sleep up to 4 adults. Little Mermaid Standard Rooms have views of the courtyard, pool or parking area. These rooms are the farthest walk from the main building, pools and busses, but it’s Disney so you’re used to lots of walking, right?
The Family Suites come in three themes: Cars, Lion King, and Finding Nemo. Each Family Suite has one Queen bed in a separate bedroom, plus one double sized table bed and one double sized sleeper sofa in the common space, which sleeps up to 6 adults. The Family Suites have views of the courtyard, pool or parking areas. These rooms also have two bathrooms and a kitchenette!
Dining
At Art of Animation you will find Quick Service dining. These are order at the counter and then find a table type eating options, though I’d say the food is a step up from traditional fast food.
Landscape of Flavors is the main dining area with 5 counters each offering different entrees, snacks and desserts. You fill a tray with the food you’d like and pay for everything at a separate check out line.
Art of Animation also offers in room delivery. Pizza Delivery and Beyond offers pizza, salads, chicken and more delivered to your room between 5pm and midnight.
The Drop Off Pool Bar is a great spot to grab an ice cream cone, a smoothie or an adult beverage.
Recreation
Art of Animation has three pools available for guests. To enter the pool areas you will need to scan your MagicBand, cell phone, or key to the world card.
The Big Blue Pool is Finding Nemo themed and is the largest pool on Disney property. You’ll also find the Schoolyard Sprayground close by for younger kids as well as Squirt’s Righteous Reef for kids who like to stay dry.
The Cozy Cone Pool is Cars themed and is a kid friendly, though quieter pool. Cone shaped cabanas are available for guests to enjoy.
Flippin Fins Pool is Little Mermaid themed; another quieter yet kid friendly pool option.
Complimentary towels are provided at all Disney Resort pools.
At Art of Animation you’ll also find:
- Movies Under the Stars
- A Jogging Trail
- A Playground
- The Pixel Play Arcade
- Fishing
Transportation
Art of Animation Resort is one of the stops on the Skyliner, a gondola lift system. The Skyliner connects Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot parks with stops at Art of Animation Resort, Pop Century Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort and Riviera Resort. The line can get a little long at peak times (park opening and closing) but it feels faster than bus lines!
Art of Animation also has Disney busses available to take you to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, the water parks and Disney Springs.
Pets
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is one of four resorts on property with dog-friendly rooms. These rooms have easy access to outdoor walkways and green spaces with pet relief areas. Included in your stay in a dog-friendly room is Pluto’s Welcome Kit, which includes a mat, bowls, a pet ID tag, plastic potty bags and a dog walking map. There is a $50/night fee for your dog.
Dogs are currently the only pets allowed at Art of Animation. A maximum of two dogs per guest room are allowed. Dogs are expected to be well-behaved, leashed in public areas, and up to date on vaccines.
Other than service animals, dogs are not allowed in theme parks, water parks, restaurants, pools or recreational spaces.
